Transitional Style

As the name suggests, Transitional Style bridges the distance between Traditional and Contemporary styles by borrowing elements from both to create a classic look with modern touches.  Like contemporary style, there is a clear emphasis on clean, straight lines – but with a touch of detail reminiscent of traditional style. Shaker door styles are common in transitional style designs, incorporating a tasteful level of detail while forgoing the degree of embellishment often seen on traditional raised panel cabinetry.  Transitional style cabinetry is available in full-access, framed, and inset construction in a variety of wood species that can be finished in paints or stains.
